Its primary function is rapid media shutoff via a 90° quarter-turn manual operation, enabling reliable on/off control for water, oil, gas, and mildly corrosive fluids. Material Selection – 304 vs. 316 Stainless Steel
The valve body is available in two standard grades: CF8 (304) for general applications such as purified water and compressed air, and CF8M (316) for enhanced resistance against acids, alkalis, seawater, and salt-spray corrosion—ideal for chemical processing and offshore pipelines. The ball features a mirror-polished surface, while the standard seat is PTFE (or RPTFE) rated for continuous service from –20°C to 180°C.
