CH Control Equipment (Shanghai) Company contributes to the green development of Kazakhstan’s “Oil City”

In June 2024, the produced water treatment plant of Karazhanbas Oilfield in Kazakhstan was officially completed. As the first water treatment project in the country fully constructed with foreign technology and foreign investment, it not only pioneered the recycling of oilfield water resources in Kazakhstan but also became an important model of China-Central Asia green cooperation. In this landmark project, Co valve provided key guarantees for the successful operation of the project with its excellent valve solutions, once again demonstrating its technological leadership in the global fluid control field.

A New Paradigm for Water Resource Recycling in Oil Cities

Aktau – a famous petroleum industrial city in Kazakhstan, while continuously supplying energy to the national economy, has long faced the severe challenge of excessive water consumption. The produced water treatment plant built by CITIC Environmental Investment has a scale of 17,000 m³/day. By introducing China’s advanced “double membrane technology”, it has successfully purified the high-chloride and high-oil produced water from the oilfield to the recyclable standard.

This innovative solution not only enables the oilfield to recycle millions of cubic meters of water resources every year, greatly reducing the 开采 (mining) cost, but also effectively relieves the domestic water pressure of local residents, setting a new benchmark for sustainable development in arid regions.

Co valve’s Reliable Guarantee under Harsh Working Conditions

In the highly corrosive produced water treatment environment, facing the extremely high chloride ion content and complex oil pollution components in the medium, Co valve provides a full range of valve solutions: more than 1,000 pneumatic/manual/electric butterfly valves and check valves, etc., covering the full diameter requirements from DN80 to DN900.

These valves made of duplex stainless steel, with excellent corrosion resistance, cope with the high-salt oil pollution environment, ensuring the long-term leak-free operation of the system and becoming the “invisible guardian” of the efficient operation of the water treatment plant.

The success of the Karazhanbas project is a vivid practice of international cooperation under the “Belt and Road” initiative. Equipment and technology from China help in the recycling of water resources, achieving true green and sustainable development.

As a valve manufacturer with leading technology and quality, Co valve will continue to uphold the professional spirit, provide reliable support for more “Belt and Road” projects with excellent products and services, and jointly write a new chapter in global green development!
