Ten experts from China National Petroleum Corporation, China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation and several major domestic research institutes gathered at CH Control Equipment (Shanghai) Company to attend the appraisal meeting of “Localization of Key Equipment for Oil and Gas Pipelines” jointly organized by the China Industrial Machinery Federation and energy and other units.

The experts conducted a careful analysis and appraisal of the “electric actuator” produced by CH Control Equipment (Shanghai) Company. Finally, they unanimously reached the appraisal result: “It has reached the advanced level abroad and is recommended for promotion and use.”

As soon as the result came out, the employees of CH Control Equipment (Shanghai) Company let out a long sigh of relief. Because this means that their ten years of efforts have finally borne fruit. This also means that the company’s products are expected to be widely applied in large-scale projects such as the “West-East Gas Pipeline” in the future.

The “Valve control System” has passed the appraisal

Electric actuator, a rather obscure professional term, is hard for ordinary people to understand exactly what it is: An electric actuator is a key device for controlling the closure of pipeline valves. In simple terms, it can be understood as the “valve control system” of pipelines and is widely used in fields such as oil and gas transportation.

It is precisely such a “valve control system” that, in the oil and gas transportation industry, the difficulty lies in its extremely high requirements for the stability of quality and safety. Its switch is related to the transportation volume of natural gas and oil. If the quality is not up to standard, it is very likely to cause accidents such as overpressure explosion, or result in a large amount of economic losses. As it concerns life safety, developing a “valve control system” is a matter of extreme caution in the industry, and most domestic enterprises dare not attempt it.
