Drive and Control
This series can be equipped with an electric ball valve actuator. The actuator housing uses a weather‑resistant aluminum alloy shell and incorporates an overheat protector and a manual override device, ensuring manual operation can be performed during power outages or fault conditions. The actuator is designed with an ISO 5211 standard mounting interface, making assembly and maintenance of the electric actuated ball valve extremely simple. For applications requiring precise flow regulation, a modulating electric actuator can be selected, which accepts a standard 4‑20 mA current signal for proportional control of valve opening.

Q1: Can an electric threaded ball valve be used for throttling/regulating flow?
A: While it can, we generally do not recommend using a standard on/off electric ball valve for throttling. Prolonged operation in a partially open position can damage the PTFE seat, leading to leakage. For flow regulation, we recommend selecting a modulating electric ball valve with a V‑port ball design.

Q2: What happens to the electric ball valve if there is a power failure?
A: All our actuators are equipped with a manual override mechanism. In the event of a power failure, you can use the supplied hex wrench or handwheel to rotate the valve to a safe position (open or closed). For critical applications, we can also provide a spring‑return fail‑safe actuator.
