4″ Carbon Steel Ball Valve High Temperature High Pressure Industrial Pipeline Cutoff

4″ steel ball valve forged carbon steel body, high temp & high pressure resistant, flange/weld end for power plant steam, oil gas industrial pipelines.

Description

This 4″ steel ball valve is manufactured with a forged steel body, making it a heavy‑duty shutoff device for demanding industrial pipelines. It is engineered to isolate high‑temperature steam, high‑pressure oil and gas, and chemical media at elevated temperatures. Relying on the material’s inherent resistance to heat and pressure, it is well suited for power plants, refineries, and oil/gas facilities. Available with flanged or welded ends, the valve can also be fitted with actuators for automated operation.

Material & Structural Features

The valve body is integrally forged from carbon steel with extra wall thickness, providing robust resistance to thermal stress and pressure surges without distortion or cracking – even under high‑temperature steam or crude oil impact. For high‑pressure duties, a trunnion‑mounted ball design offers superior sealing stability; in high‑temperature services, a metal seated configuration prevents seal softening and leakage. An ISO5211 mounting pad is cast on the top, allowing straightforward attachment of electric or pneumatic actuators.

Typical Applications

This valve is widely deployed in thermal power stations, oil refineries, oil/gas gathering and transmission networks, and high‑temperature chemical plants. For instance, in the steam circulation system at Jiangsu Dingxin Electric Power Equipment Co., Ltd., the entire pipeline line adopted 4″ steel ball valves. These valves have consistently withstood prolonged exposure to high‑temperature, high‑pressure steam without any deformation or leakage, ensuring stable operation of the plant’s circulation loop.

Key Advantages

Compared with brass or cast‑iron ball valves, the steel body delivers substantially enhanced performance under extreme heat and pressure. The metal‑seat option accommodates media above 400°C. Both flanged and butt‑weld connections are suitable for heavy industrial buried piping, offering rugged construction and extended maintenance intervals.
